@Nathan Duckett Thanks for the awesome work on the campaign so far.
Adam made this page a while ago for people to post their character backstories, thought it might be worth resurrecting so that people can post their frontier character stories too.
Vigsby the bard
Vigsby arrived in the capital an impressionable young Satyr, desperate for a life away from the harshness of the wilds. His skillful musicianship and fey nature led him to rise through the cities great houses until he found himself in the Court of the Sun Queen.
Vigsby never succumbed to the bardic cliche of debauchery, and fell deeply in love with Hermine, a Tortle Druid and the Queens handmaiden and close confidante.
Some new hanger-ons arrived in court (from House Cannith) and set about spreading some nasty rumours, this led to the Queen discovering Vigsby and Hermine's relationship, she wasn't too happy, coupled with her overhearing Vigsby performing a merry song about her surprisingly awful flatulence, she had him imprisoned.
He volunteered for the Pointertown Agency to secure his release, he hopes to make enough money and repair his reputation, to acquire the legendary instruments of the bards, to return to the capital a hero, whisk Hermine away and live happily ever after. That's the plan anyway.
Hi, my name is Sarah. My character is called Roza Chance. She's a Tiefling Sorcerer.
Appearance:
Dark of hair and violet of skin, her eyes are a shining silver, she keeps her hair tied back and unadorned, pragmatic through and through. She carries a old staff, and wears a silver lined dress, chunky boots and a lack of frill, she is ready for action.

The Chance Family Library
Backstory
Roza was born to a revered Tiefling family. Modest in standing, their goal was never money or power, but knowledge that they wished to share with the world, their aim was to add to their great library and further their coveted reputation as a fountain of lore.
While her family was enormously varied in abilities and talents, Roza has always felt out of touch with them and her own identity as part of the Chance family. Naturally magical, she found herself able to put up a front of confidence and charisma, masking the insecurity underneath.
Roza feels most at home amongst scrolls and surrounded by books, always grasping to enhance her knowledge. Since the abjuration, she and her family has become obsessed with curating knowledge lost to the carnage, Roza has set out to join the Adventurers guild and travel the barren lands searching for lost texts, but what exactly is she searching for, and why has her family deemed it so important that Roza will but her life on the line to discover it.
Hi Adam, I'll be the first to give this a go then. 😊 Hopefully this isn't too embarrasing, I've never written anything like this for public view before.
Kharduum Steepmine - Hill Dwarf Life Domain Cleric
Appearance -
A young Dwarf of average height and a muscled build from masonry work and armoured training.
Close cropped hair to help with helmet wearing and a simply braided beard, unadorned and pragmatic, while in keeping with Dwarven
tradition. His clothing and armour is basic, but sturdy and well worn. Good craft, that
was handed down. His hammer has seen its fair share of use, from him and those who
held it before him, basic but sturdy, with no great songs or lineage. The only adornments he wears are a Holy emblem fixed to his shield, the Anvil of Moradin, and an amulet swinging from his neck, the Hammer of Moradin.
Organisations
The Mushroom Kissed Temple of Moradin warped and crumbling from the Abjuration and the events that unfolded after, it still stubbornly stands, a trait shared with the Dwarven people.
Backstory
Orphaned at a young age due to a collapsed mine, the first and only child of his young dwarven parents.
They typically worked opposing shifts, however a last minute schedule change resulted in them working side by side when a freak and very rare collapse happened. A dozen dwarves lost their lives. This was a huge blight on the community as Hill Dwarves prided themselves on mining safety and fatalities were practically unheard of.
Kharduum was taken in by the Priest, Lodrom Stoutbeard and raised in the temple to be a staunch follower of Moradin, taught to fight, honour his religion and warcast, they would help to protect the surrounding scattered people and attempted settlements from the evil that sprang up in the wake of the Abjuration. He grew up to be a happy and overly optimistic young dwarf, despite the dark times, something that grated on more than a few elders, but very much in keeping with his mentor and Saviour, Lodrom.
Shortly after coming of age, the elders decided to send Kharduum to the capital, to gain some experience and spread the word of Moradin to those outside of the Dwarven people, to help re-establish the world in his honour, and carve out new lands. Secretly they hoped this would grind him down a bit, so he'd be a bit more settled upon his return (and hopefully less annoying).
Kharduum was on the road for about a year before reaching the capital, mingling with scattered people and hearing their stories, helping whenever he could. Upon reaching the capital, he was told about the expedition to the Outpost and quickly joined the Adventurers guild, volunteering for the first voyage.
Allies
Lodrom Stoutbeard, father figure and mentor at the temple. He would come and go from the Temple and seemed to answer to no-one, where did he fit within the temple hierarchy?
A former Solinarr, a group of elite warrior clerics, known as the 'Hammers of Moradin' he is regarded as a brilliant cleric and can still mix it up despite his advancing years. He taught Kharduum his martial skills and spellcasting abilities. He imparted upon him his views and wisdom and is the singularly most important figure in Kharduums life.
Why did Lodrom leave one of the greatest orders in the Dwarven kingdoms to spend his remaining years at an overlooked temple, even before the Abjuration?
Enemies
Poorly reinforced retaining walls in a Mine shaft. The blight left from the Abjuration.
Other (for a bit of extra flavour :D )
Growing up, Lodrom taught Kharduum the art of Dragonchess, he picked up the game quickly and it became a favourite way to pass the time in scant moments he was free of duty. Soon, he was able to best his mentor and the temple priests. Before long they refused to play. Kharduum longs to one day put his skills up against a real master to prove his metal.
Hope this is okay, but let me know if there's anything you want me to change. Cheers.
