In game it has been 6 months since the last adventure in Outpost and times are changing rapidly.
The developments have largely been driven my the arrival of Sandringham Meriwether Sandford's railroad, a new invention which has made travel from the Sun Capital to Outpost and other settlements much faster. The sudden influx of settlers, traders and resources have made the previously tiny settlement grow to a flourishing frontier town. To cater for this growth many new amenities have popped up including a blacksmith, general store, library and artificers to name a few. Tales of the Guild have also spread and both new allies and new rivals have travelled to Outpost to seek their fortunes.
Unfortunately not all is well in Outpost. While the majority of the Guild were distracted by a House Cannith audit and a murder mystery, the warforged Di and a small retinue of guards had been sent away along with their cache of magical seed. During this journey the party was ambushed by unknown brigands and the container of seeds was lost. Di blames herself for this loss and has been sequestered away in the library searching for a way to help recover the seeds. The rapid growth in town has also eroded the Guilds control of Outpost, before they were the only word in law but now various other factions have started to make moves to increase their influence in the upcoming settlement.
During all this change House Cannith have stayed eerily silent, despite the loss of their auditor and one of there ships. Maybe they are focussed on more pressing matters, or maybe something much more nefarious.
Oh no! Not the seeds, but at least Di wasn't harmed. We'd have to go all 'John Wick on those brigands if she was hurt. 😅
